Kali Northcutt struck out 12 batters as the hurler led Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers past North Judson-San Pierre Varsity BlueJays 6-2 on Thursday. Northcutt gave up four hits and two runs over seven innings while walking three. Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers opened the scoring in the fourth after Laney Westfall grounded out, scoring one run. Molly Madsen homered to center field, scoring two runs in the top of the sixth for the North Judson-San Pierre Varsity BlueJays. Madsen took the loss for North Judson-San Pierre Varsity BlueJays. The starter went six innings, surrendering six runs on nine hits, striking out five and walking two. Kylie Spencer, Stacia Crabtree, and Brynn Hannon each collected two hits for Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers. Spencer, Northcutt, Hannon, and Westfall each drove in one run for Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers. Crabtree stole two bases. Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers stole five bases in the game. Madsen drove the middle of the lineup, leading North Judson-San Pierre Varsity BlueJays with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-3 on the day.
