Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers fell 5-3 to Tri-County Varsity Cavaliers on Tuesday despite out-hitting them five to four

Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Koebcke hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Davis singled, scoring two runs. Tri-County Varsity Cavaliers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 5-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Lauren Bledsoe that drove in two. Madilyn Nevitt earned the win for Tri-County Varsity Cavaliers. The hurler gave up four hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 12 and walking one. Rylie Moore took the loss for Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers. The right-handed pitcher went four and one-third innings, surrendering five runs (three earned) on four hits, striking out one and walking three. Davis drove the middle of the lineup, leading Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers turned one double play in the game. Bledsoe drove the middle of the lineup, leading Tri-County Varsity Cavaliers with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Grace Luck, Bledsoe, Hannah Arvin, and Kami Wilkerson each collected one hit for Tri-County Varsity Cavaliers. Tri-County Varsity Cavaliers turned two double plays in the game. Tri-County Varsity Cavaliers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Bella Dominguez had the most chances in the field with 12. Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers welcome South Newton on Thursday for their next game.
